A few months ago, WhatsApp introduced a feature called ‘Layout’ for Android users, which lets them create collages directly within the app. According to a report by WABetaInfo, this feature may soon be available to iOS users. Currently, it is limited to some users who have installed the latest version of WhatsApp from the App Store.

Once the photo collage feature is available, users can head to the Status tab, tap on the Camera icon, and select the ‘Layout’ option at the top bar. Tapping on it will allow users to select up to 6 images, and based on the number of selections, Instagram will generate a grid or collage accordingly. Users can also add, remove, or rearrange photos before sharing the collage on their WhatsApp Status. The feature is similar to Instagram Stories, which also allows users to share multiple photos in a layout format.
The ability to create and share a photo collage within WhatsApp itself makes the process faster and flexible. This also eliminates the need for a separate 3rd-party app or the use of online tools. Once WhatsApp begins the public rollout of the photo layout feature, we’ll update you with a separate article.
