Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 8 Beta program for the Galaxy S25 series. The latest skin is based on Android 16 and is currently available for select countries, including South Korea, Germany, the UK, and the US. In the coming weeks, you can expect the One UI 8 Beta update to reach several other countries.
If you own any of Samsung’s latest flagship phones: Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, you should see the One UI 8 Beta banner in the Samsung Members app. Surprisingly, the latest member of the Galaxy S25 family is not in the first batch of the beta program: Galaxy S25 Edge.

The One UI 8 Beta update weighs around 3 GB, and before you install it on your Galaxy phone, make sure to back up your data as a precaution. That said, here’s the complete sign-up process:
- Open the Samsung Members app on your Galaxy phone.
- Scroll until you find the Beta Program banner.
- Tap on it and then follow the on-screen instructions to join.
- Once the process is complete, head to the Settings app > Software Update > Download and Install. You should receive the One UI 8 update on your phone.
One UI 8 doesn’t bring any big new features or changes. It mainly focuses on improving the current UI, features, and performance. However, there are some interesting changes we found in the new One UI, such as 90:10 split screen, revamped Weather app, improved Now Bar, and more.
Additionally, in the 1st beta of the One UI 8 update, there are no new AI features. However, we might see some AI features with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7, which is expected to launch this summer with a stable One UI 8 build. We’ll keep you posted as more updates roll in.
