Samsung has kicked off the One UI 8 Beta rollout — based on Android 16 — for the Galaxy S25 series in select regions. Going forward, more Galaxy devices may become eligible for the beta program. But for many Samsung fans, the bigger question is whether their Galaxy device will get the next major One UI update.
No doubt, Samsung’s recently launched Galaxy phones and tablets will receive the One UI 8 update, but what about Galaxy models released 3 to 4 years ago? Samsung hasn’t released an official list of eligible devices, but if we go by their update policy, we can get a better picture.

One UI 8 Release Date
Samsung hasn’t shared an official timeline for when the One UI 8 update will begin rolling out, so it’s difficult to provide an exact timeframe. However, what we do know is that the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 are expected to launch with One UI 8 out of the box — likely this summer, around July. Based on that, the stable One UI 8 rollout for other Galaxy devices could begin sometime in August or September.
