Samsung is rolling out a June 2025 security update for the Samsung Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra smartphones. This update fixes many known security issues, including 38 high-level Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) within the Android OS and 19 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVEs) specific to Samsung’s hardware and software.
The new software update will ensure your personal data, apps, and system files remain safe from malware and unauthorized access.
It is worth noting that the June 2025 security patch is currently being rolled out to users in Korea, and we expect Samsung to expand it to other countries in the coming days. The other Samsung devices, such as the Galaxy S25 series, S24 series, and S23 series, are already receiving the new security update in select markets.
To check if your Galaxy phone has received the latest software update, navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install. If the update is available, install it immediately to enhance your device’s security and stability.
Samsung is already testing the One UI 8 Beta on the Galaxy S25 series and is expected to be available soon on the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung has not yet confirmed the official rollout date for the stable One UI 8 update, but we do know it will be the final major OS upgrade for the Galaxy S22 series.
